Aston Martin to present V12 Vantage sports car at Geneva Motor Show

Aston Martin is set to present most powerful sports car of its 95-years’ history, on 3rd March 2009. Based on highly successful V8 Vantage model, V12 Vantage will be equipped with 6.0-litre V12, 510 bhp engine with 570Nm of torque giving top speed of 190 mph and 0 to 62 mph acceleration in just 4.2 seconds.

The latest design of Aston Martin Vintage has a unique character, appealing to different tastes and complementing other Aston Martin models.

The original V12 Vantage concept was revealed at the inauguration of Aston Martin Design Studio. Engineers at Aston Martin have continued with their tradition of giving new concepts, bringing V12 Vantage to market in shortest period of just 12 months.

Dr. Ulrich Bez, CEO, Aston Martin, described V12 as ultimate interpretation of Vantage range, representing combination of agile model with most powerful engine. According to him, unique character of V12 Vantage will appeal to different people and allow them to enjoy great experience. He claimed it also illustrates Aston Martin’s capability to evolve new concepts and convert ideas into reality in shortest time.

Aston Martin V12 Vantage will be produced at global headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire, where DB9, DBS and V8 Vantage models are built with state-of-the-art production facility, hi-tech processes and excellent hand-craftsmanship. Plan is to built just 300 to 500 cars every year, making V12 an exclusive driver’s car. Deliveries are likely to commence from third quarter of 2009, while prices will be announced at the Geneva Motor Show.
