Audio system of Jaguar XF voted as Best In-Car Audio System
The Jaguar XF’s Bowers and Wilkins in-car audio system was voted as the Best Buy under £100,000. The audio system review was conducted by The What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision Ultimate Guide to High End Entertainment.
The Jaguar XF featured the 440W Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound System with Dolby® Pro-Logic® II 7.1 Surround Sound, 14 speakers and a remote amplifier. Jaguar cars are the exclusive users of Bowers & Wilkins technology, which is highly acclaimed by artists, audiophiles and recording engineers. Important design features like aluminium domes on tweeters improve reproduction of sound at high frequencies due to reduction in weight of moving parts. Linearity of response and reduction in distortion are improved with the use of Kevlar cones in large speakers.
What Hi-Fi? Judges, found XF’s Bowers & Wilkins system better than systems used by competitors Lexus, Volkswagen and Audi, on the basis of sound-per-pound performance. In their evaluation process, judges used wide range of music and drove on various roads with different speeds to assess system abilities under real conditions.
According to Andy Kerr, Editor, What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision Ultimate Guides, XF audio system has huge appeal and its sensible price would attract many drivers to purchase it for their vehicles.
Jaguar’s Marketing Director, CJ O’Donnel is highly pleased with the recognition that XF system received from UK’s top selling, well-respected audio publication.
