Autoliv bags Toyota’s Superior Performance Award
Autoliv, the worldwide leader in automotive safety, bagged the most prestigious “Superior Performance Award” for its contribution to automotive safety, from Toyota Motors Europe. The award was presented at Toyota’s 2008 Annual Supplier conference in Brussels.
The award is presented in the recognition of Autoliv’s continuous efforts in value engineering its products and diverting production facilities to low cost countries. Toyota confers this highest distinction every year on its suppliers for their superior performance. Benoit Marsaud, COO and President of Autoliv Europe, received the award at the annual conference. Accepting the award he described it as a great achievement for Autoliv and thanked all its production sites in UK, Poland, Turkey, and France for their invaluable contribution in super performance.
Autoliv are the global leaders in manufacture of state-of-the-art safety systems for the automotives. They are the pioneer in seatbelts and airbags. They are the technology leader and offer widest range of automotive safety products, to reduce traffic accidents and fatalities. Their partnership as supplier with Toyota is world-wide. Apart from supplying steering wheels and seatbelts, Autoliv is supplying all models of Toyota Europe, including Corolla Verso, Avensis and Auris. Autoliv has bagged ten awards in 2007, from customers like GM, Suzuki, Ford and Volkswagen. It recorded a hat trick by bagging Toyota award for the consecutive third year.
