BMW 118d and 123d Convertible now available in the market
BMW has started the sale of BMW 118 and 123 Convertible, which are equipped with two of its most popular diesel engines. BMW has made a timely introduction of its award-winning twin-turbocharged unit and most fuel efficient four-cylinder diesel engine to its new customers who are deeply interested in open-air motoring but reluctant on spending more on fuel.
Narrating about its important characteristics, the 1,995cc single turbocharged engine of 118d Convertible, produces 143hp and 300Nm of torque. It accelerates from zero to 62 mph in 9.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 129mph.
The 118d Convertible gives most impressive performance in fuel consumption and CO2 emission. Its fuel consumption is 57.6mpg and CO2 emission is 129g per kilometre. This performance, made possible by the BMW’s EficientDynamics Technology makes 118d Convertible the most fuel efficient and eco-friendly Convertible in its category of cars.
The 123d Convertible is equipped with 1,995cc twin-turbocharged engine which produces 204hp and torque of 400Nm. It accelerates the 123d Convertible to 62mph in 7.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 143mph. With the all facets of EfficientDynamics technology, it registers a combined consumption of 52.3mpg and CO2 emission of 144g per kilometre which is lowest among all competitor cars.
Both the models are provided with a six-speed manual gearbox. The BMW 118d Convertible will cost £23,660 OTR, while the BMW 123d Convertible will cost £28,105 OTR and above.
