Light weight and compact 7-speed DSG transmission, provided with a pair of dry clutches, improves performance and economy over conventional automatic gearbox. A low first gear ratio imparts acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in 8.5 seconds, while raised 7th gear acts as overdrive function. This lends improved fuel consumption of 38.7 mpg combined cycle (37.2 mpg manual) and reduced CO2 emission of 172 g/km (178 g/km manual).
Volkswagen Passat CC is available with 1.8-litre TSI 160 PS engine in standard CC trim and features 17-inch Phoenix alloy wheels, touch-screen stereo system with CD autochanger, 2Zone Climatronic air conditioning, Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP), six-way electrically adjustable driver seat, multi-function steering wheel and 6 airbags.
