Chevrolet To Showcase Three Door Aveo At Geneva Motor Show
One of the things to look forward to at this year’s Geneva Motor Car show, to be held next month, is the display of the three-door version of the Chevrolet Aveo. Essentially modeled on the five-door Chevrolet Aveo, the three door version is set to hit European shores from June 2008. The three door version will sport the same interior and exterior design as its five door variant, with a few minor modifications. The front end has a different horizontally striped grill, and has altered front and rear light housings, side indicators and front fender vents.
The three-door Aveo will be available in two engine specifications, which include a new dohc 1.2 liter inline with 84 hp and the usual 101 hp with a 1.4 liter engine. Both the engine types will be available with five speed manual transmission though the 1.4 liter version can also be made available with four speed automatic transmission.
The five-door Aveo will be launched in Europe in March 2008 and in the US in July 2008. The US version will have a 1.6 liter engine, with four cylinders and 107 hp. However there are no plans to launch the three-door Aveo in the US as of now.
