Citroen expands retail group in Redditch, Slough and Letchworth
Citroen UK opened three new retail premises in Redditch, Slough and Letchworth, expanding its dealership network to 12 places across the UK.
The three new openings, leading to significant expansion of Citroen’s Retail Group, join the current locations in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Manchester South, Hatfield, City (London), London West, Coventry and Birmingham.
More than 80 years ago, Citroen opened its UK headquarters in Slough. The original factory plant was also opened in Slough, in the year 1926. The proposed new retail site will be operated from the headquarters premises, after inauguration at the hands of the CEO, Gilles Michel, later in September 2008. Dealer Principal, Nick Harris, will manage the services by employing 40 people.
Two more dealerships, Citroen Letchworth and Citroen Redditch would further enhance Citroen Retail Group’s retail portfolio. Both the dealerships were well established much before the latest adoption by the Group. The addition would substantially increase Citroen Retail Group’s accessibility across the UK.
Thierry Calewaert, director of the Citroen Retail Group described launch of three new dealerships as demonstration of dynamic expansion strategy of the Citroen Group, which was timed in the key month for car sales. He further emphasised that Citroen Slough would be an important addition to Citroen’s flagship premises and would be established as a premier destination for the Citroen customers.
