Citroen Hypnos wins ‘Concept Car of the Year 2008′ award
The Citroen Hypnos has bagged the prestigious ‘Concept Car of the Year 2008’ Auto Car Magazine award, while car designer, Briton, Legighanne Earley was named ‘Autocar Courland Automotive Leader of the Future’. Citroen Hypnos’s spectacular concept had received accolades from visitors at the Paris Motor Show in October.
Citroen UK’s Managing Director, Xavier Duchemin, described this as great honour conferred on Citroen and fantastic accolade for concept. He claimed that award was major recognition of Citroen’s exciting new direction of design. He added that Hypnos’s innovative diesel electric hybrid would be available on Citroen’s future models and its bold new styling was evident in C3 Picasso.
Citroen Hypnos has many innovative features and advanced technology equipments such as faceless clock and thermo-sensitive ambient lighting. Four seats are fitted in DNA double configuration with air conditioning. Interior is given vibrant, rainbow colouring, and the exterior is painted grey, lending looks of an ‘executive vehicle’. It demonstrates Citroen’s originality and quest for creativity.
The elegant, Citroen Hypnos is the combination of comfort of a saloon, styling of sporty coupe and spaciousness of SUV. Hypnos carries green credentials of Citroen provided by 4WD hybrid drive train and 200hp 2.0 HDi efficient engine with electric motor for zero emission and economic driving.
