Dodge Journey for the UK families
Chrysler’s newest car, the Dodge Journey, is due to be launched in the UK during August 2008 and would be most welcome by the families who prefer spacious car which can accommodate seven people.
Dodge Journey has front-wheel drive will have 5+2 seating as standard for its entire range. It has numerous family-friendly features such as tilt and slide seating system, a spacious storage area situated under the floor and under the seats, rear doors with 90-degree access for installing child seats, climate control which operates in all the rows and a rear conversation mirror.
According to Federico Goretti who is Managing Director of Chrysler UK, the families which expect functionality of an MVP minus the looks of a people carrier, would prefer Dodge Journey the most. He adds that its diesel engine lends itself to very good performance and economy. Dodge Journey fulfils the practicality of an MVP and offers the fuel efficiency of a normal car. Goretti claims the Journey will accimplish a big success in the UK similar to the other Dodge vehicles Avenger, Nitro and Caliber.
The new Dodge Journey will be available with an option of 2.0-litre diesel engine or 2.4-litre petrol engine. The diesel engine will be equipped with either an automatic dual-clutch or manual gearbox. It will also return 43.5 mpg, combined cycle.
It will have three-zone climate control, telescopic steering wheel, electric windows, tyre pressure monitoring and a 6-disc MP3 compatible CD player with sound system as standard.
