Ferrari Has An Eye On Indian Markets

In a promotion event that was kick started on Febrauary 25th and will extend until the 8th of May, two Ferrari 612 Scagliettis are on their way to cover 7,000 miles on Indian turf. This event shows the durability of the Ferrari vehicles under Indian road conditions with an eye on Ferrari’s future plans in India. The tour is dubbed “the Magic India Discovery Tour”.

Gabrielle Lalli, the Head of the tour revealed that Ferrari may consider entering the country’s markets by 2010. Taking a cue from Ford, Ferrari may turn to Tata Motors for the support that they require to lay down the required Sales and Marketing network that they need within India. What is more interesting is the word doing the rounds that indicates that the Tatas may be considering acquiring a stake in Ferrari.

This may mark an interesting sojourn for Ferrari and hopefully as successful as the headway they made in Japan; amply proven by the minimum two year long wait for acquiring any Ferrari vehicle in Japan.
