Ferrari introduces new Handling GTE package for enhanced sportiness
With its debut Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano had set a new performance standard which has remained as benchmark for development of new sports car till this date. Ferrari is now introducing GTE Handling package (Handling Gran Turismo Evoluzione) for Ferrari 599 GTB to enhance its sportiness and handling.
The package consists of a set-up with rear anti-roll bar, stiffer springs and new calibration settings for shock absorbers. The car’s centre of gravity has been lowered by reducing ride height. This along with new set-up improves body control. The package also includes optimised tyres made out of a compound that offers better grip.
The car electronics have been improved to speed up response to driver commands. Gearbox shifts are faster even in high-performance settings while accelerator response has been enhanced with new engine software strategy.
The exhaust silencer has been so modified that it produces more thrilling and marked sound under hard usage and still delivers right comfort at cruising speed.
The package also provides stylish exterior and distinct sporty interior with extensive use of carbon-fibre. 20 inch split-rim wheels have special diamond-cut and matte silver finish. The cabin is made sportier with mix of black Alcantara, full-grain leather and carbon-fibre trim.
