Finally- Chances Of A Break Through?

UAW and American Axle and Manufacturing Holdings Inc may have solved the stalemate that has hovered around their attempted negotiations since the 11th of March. After the meeting convened on Monday 8th April, UAW President Ron Gettelfinger and Company CEO Richard Dauch, full bargaining session can be expected to resume, starting Wednesday the 10th.

The 3,650 strong task force of UAW have been on strike since 26th February, bringing American Axle’s chief client, GM’s vehicular production to a screeching halt, with a complete or partial shut down in nearly 30 plants. This has affected a staggering 80% of American Axle’s sales.

Full negotiations between the two sparring sides have been at best sporadic since the 11th. Rogers stated that UAW officials from the company’s five local bargaining units would resume conversation on Wednesday.
