Ford to Display Transit Connect Van at Chicago Auto Show
Ford has plans to woo buyers at this week’s Chicago auto car show with it’s Euro- styled Transit Connect Vans. This car show is aimed primarily at the commercial workhorse cars that primarily include trucks, vans and SUVs. The Transit connect Van is already doing swift business in parts of Europe and is slated to hit the US markets in 2009.
The Transit Connect Van is a tall, minivan which can be fitted either with front seats and cargo room or five seats. Though primarily aimed at small businesses this van has also in demand among personal users that are looking for vehicle that gives them fuel efficiency and is middle ground between a van and a truck. The Transit connect Van is to fill the void that will occur when Ford discontinues the manufacture of the Rover compact.
This well styled vehicle gives 19 mpg in urban settings and 24 mpg. It is fitted with a four speed engine and is manufactured in Turkey. The price for this vehicle will be finalized once it goes on sale in the US in 2009.
