The Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA Concept has been powered by a strong petrol engine which meets prerequisites of downsizing and low carbon emission apart from offering high power and efficiency.
Designed with expertise from Fiat Powertrain Technologies and making use of vast experience gained in manufacture of Twin Spark and Alfa Romeo V6 engines, the Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA Concept engine employs direct injection, state-of-the-art turbocharging, dual variable valve timing and advanced electronic management systems. It will produce 240bhp from just 1742 cc.
The car has been lowered by about 20mm. Front suspension has been given new geometry with aluminium arms; rear suspension has new bushings while chassis is made with advanced damper control.
