GoinGreen showcases its Reva NXG electric car

The UK’s pioneering electric car retailer GoinGreen is showcasing Reva NXG concept car in London. This next generation electric vehicle (EV) created by RECC (Reva Electric Car Company) based in Bangalore, India, was launched at 21st Worldwide Electric Vehicle Exhibition in Monaco. Reva G-Wiz electric car is being marketed in London by GoinGreen since May 2008. It has already sold more than 200 of these zero-emission cars without any advertisement.

Two-seater Reva NXG roadster is the creation of close collaboration between RECC, Simputer developer Encore Software and designer Dilip Chhabria of DC Design. Powered by 37kw AC high-performance induction motor, which drives front wheels using sodium nickel chloride batteries, Reva NXG runs 125 miles per 6 hour charge and attains top speed of 75mph.

Independent suspension with hydraulic integrated regenerative braking system provides smoother handling and braking.

The car is fitted with world’s first ‘wireless tablet’ which integrates into touch-screen display system featuring vehicle dashboard functions, GPS navigation system, modem for internet and email access and MP3 music player.

The bold and sharp body of the concept car is created by DC Design and it complements state-of-the-art technology of Encore.

Encore’s Simputer was ranked as one among the ‘Ten Technologies for You and Planet’ by Time Magazine. Its embedded systems technology is probably world’s first graphic in-vehicle information display system.

According to Keith Johnston, M.D. GoinGreen, unbeatable combination of emission-free and low cost transport offered by Reva G-Wiz has made it best-selling electric car of the world.
