Holden Astra turbocharged diesel wagon goes to Australia

Holden Astra which recorded the highest sales among European cars in Australia in 2007 is available in turbocharged diesel wagon. Astra CDTi Wagon is packed with innovations and boasts ESP standard. Its performance and excellent fuel economy (ADR 81/01) of 7.1 litres/100 km is boosted by the 1.9 litre turbo diesel engine.

Astra CDTi Wagon conforms to the Euro 4 standards and features 6 speed automatic transmission. Philip Brook, GM Holden’s Director of Marketing is confident that Astra CDTi Wagon will meet the expectations of customers who look for little roomier cars with more safety, high performance and high fuel efficiency. He describes it as a fantastic offer from Holden’s Astra range.

The car is packed with different features such as BA driver, front passenger air bag, front side impact air bag, ESP with traction control, EBD, ABS, four 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, fog lamps, trip computer and climate control. The six-speed SOHC Astra diesel engine generates 88 kilowatts power at 3500rpm. It produces 280Nm peak torque at 2000rpm. An Active Select feature enables manual shift for a sharper driving feel.

You can choose The Astra CDTi Wagon in different colours: Casablanca White, Power Red, Star Silver Metallic, Black Sapphire Metallic, Pannacotta Metallic and Metro Metallic. Next only to Commodore, Astras recorded a sale of more than 218,725 cars in Australia till date.
