Lamborghini presents high performance Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder
Lamborghini has created a high performance, fascinating design, extremely smooth handling and open-air super sports car which has absolutely no match.
Equipped with more powerful engine, all-wheel drive and new chassis, Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder offers much superior performance than its predecessors. Its unique design displays elegant and powerful performance with greater distinctiveness.
Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder has been in the market since the beginning of 2008 as a new version of the most successful Lamborghini. Since 2003, over 8,500 sports cars bearing the Gallardo name have been produced at Sant’Agata Bolognese.
According to Automobili Lamborghini’s President and CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, unveiling of the Spyder was new dimension in Gallardo range. It is breathtaking and unparallel automobile in motoring.
As in the Coupe, Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder is powered by new 5.2 litre V10 engine with 560 hp output at 8,000 rpm. Out put increase is 40 hp over its predecessors while reduction in weight is 44 pounds (20 kg.). Power to weight ratio has improved performance further.
Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder takes 4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph, attaining 124 mph in just 13.1 seconds, reaching top speed of 201 mph. The direct fuel injection system also enhances efficiency. Despite very high performance the Spyder provides staggering 18% reduction in CO2 emissions and fuel consumption.
Redesigned drive transmission, improved bodyshell stiffness, new suspension and optimised aerodynamics lend stability at high speed. Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder is very much suitable for long-distance travel as well.
