Land Rover appointed as Snowsport GB’s Official Vehicle Partner
Land Rover has just announced that it has been appointed as Snowsport GB’s Official Vehicle Partner. The British Alpine Ski Team and the Snowboard Team is popularly known as Snowsport GB. Land Rover, as its Official Vehicle Partner, will offer all team members, including Chemmy Alcott, the UK’s top female down hill skier, along with brothers Noel and Alain Baxter, and Finlay Mickel - a fleet of Range Rover Sports and Discovery 3s for supporting them during the upcoming World Cup season.
Land Rover (UK) managing director John Edwards expressed joy over the tie-up. He stated the company, as a British brand, was delighted to be chosen to support the country’s top snowboarders and skiers in their pursuit of glory at World Cup. Land Rover vehicles, he asserted, would give the ultimate capability needed for ensuring that the team can travel comfortably and safely between competitions - often through testing snowy conditions.
Both Discovery 3 and the Range Rover Sport will come fully-equipped with patented Terrain Response of Land Rover along with Hill Descent Control, permanent four-wheel drive, Dynamic Stability Control and low-range gearbox features. The Range Rover Sport and Discovery 3 are available from £35,750 and £27,315 respectively on the road.
