Launch of new BMW 7 Series will set a new benchmark

The launch of BMW 7 Series, the flagship BMW model range in November this year will set a new benchmark in technical innovation and luxury. The model will represent union of fuel savings and emission reducing technologies. BMW 7 Series will debut with a host of world firsts. It will provide a choice of two petrol engines and one diesel engine. Petrol powered cars will have a long-wheelbase body. All 3 engines produce more power, consume less fuel and emit less CO2.

BMW 730d’s all-aluminium 3.0-litre straight-six cylinder diesel engine produces 245hp at 4,000rpm. It has the lowest ever CO2 emission of 192g/km and 39.2mpg combined fuel consumption which no competitor has so far achieved. It accelerates from zero to 62mph in 7.2 seconds and the top speed is 153mph.
The high performance of the BMW 730d is the result of third-generation common-rail direct injection technology, incorporating Piezo injectors. This system enables perfect combustion process. The 6 cylinder engine weighs 185 kg.

The BMW 730d will be the highest seller in the UK, with sales of 85 per cent. All new BMW 7 Series models come equipped with six-speed automatic gearbox and EfficientDynamics technologies as a standard. Its roofs, doors, bonnet and side panels make it more lightweight. All 7 series BMW cars can be specified with a side view camera system, and Park Distance Control which aids slow manoeuvring. The series will also be available with Night Vision System which alerts a driver when a human moves into the vehicle’s path.
