Liberty Electric Cars creates 250 jobs to convert thousands of luxury cars, SUVs

Green car manufacturer Liberty Electric Cars, based in Oxford announced creation of 250 jobs yesterday. The company manufactures emission free luxury cars. A big order for the high performance electric cars is already in its bag.  Liberty announced that it will convert large luxury cars and 4 x 4s (SUVs) into electric vehicles. The first car, Range Rover model, will be priced between £95,000 and £125,000 ($187,000 U.S. to $246,000). Company plans to convert thousands of cars every year by 2012.

Chief Executive Barry Shrier declared that Liberty Electric Range Rover will take electric vehicle technology to large luxury cars. He is pleased to announce that people who aspire to drive big luxury cars in cities but cannot do so due to stringent environment controls will see their dream fulfilled by Liberty Electric Cars.
The Liberty Electric Range Rover will provide clean and quiet driving, offer comfort and security of luxury 4 x 4, and will be more environment friendly than any smallest most fuel-efficient car.

The battery technology being used in these cars will be state of the art energy storage. It will give longer driving range and recharge time will be shorter. The company is investing £30 million in this ambitious re-engineering project.
