Microsoft, Hyundai partner for in-car technology

Everyone dreams of a car with the ultimate gadgets of comfort. James Bond sty;e! Gadget loaded cars are not a distant dream. And the latest innovation on various auto workshops is proof to the same.

Recently South Korean auto head Hyundai and Microsoft teamed up to build a music and information system in cars. The car with the prodigious system is said to debut in the North America markets in 2010. 

Ford’s Sync system, a car control system driven by voice commands, is one of the perfect examples of the futuristic shape of cars. The Sync system developed in partnership with Ford has been an instant success. Even auto giants like BMW AG and Chrysler are in the process to equip their cars with regular internet access. Though car-based information and data systems is a mushrooming industry it is expected to boom in recent years.

The famed Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates will be visiting Seoul to sign the agreement with Hyundai. The project will kick-off with a voice-controlled system which will supposedly link mobile devices to the cars stereo system. Multimedia and navigation-related features will be follow up.

This deal makes Microsoft a winner as it has finally managed to penetrate the auto market.
