New Audi A5/S5 Cabriolet with classic fabric open-top
The four-seater new A5 Cabriolet, most dynamic and with wonderful looks combines sporty character with open-top driving, enhanced comfort and very high everyday utility.
The new Audi model with seven powerful engines, and numerous high-end options, is high performance mid-range convertible. S5 Cabriolet is one of the best models of Audi’s new convertible range.
S5 Cabriolet’s 3-litre V6 engine with gasoline direct injection is newly developed and priced at 37,300 Euro for 1.8 TFSI, 160 hp and 6-speed manual transmission. First delivery of A5 Cabriolet models would commence from second quarter of 2009.
Like other Audi open-type models, A5 Cabriolet also has light weight classic fabric top with fully automatic drive that takes just 15 seconds for opening and 17 seconds for closing. Optionally you can also have an acoustic top to reduce wind noise.
After opening; the top folds down very effectively and leaves 11.3 cu ft of unused storage space.
Interior comfort is enhanced by automatic seat belt extenders. Neck-level seating is provided for front seats as option. Optional leather seats are specially coated to minimise solar heating. Audi A5 Cabriolet can comfortably accommodate 4 people. Reinforcements and steels of high strength lend crash safety and maximum rigidity.
A5 Cabriolet is being offered with choice of 3 gasoline engines and 2 diesel engines. Their power outputs range from 180 hp to 265 hp. All engines employ direct injection. Power trains available with A5 Cabriolet include 7-speed S- tronic, 6-speed manual transmission and variable multitronic.
