New Mazda 2 is small, cheeky and sporty

Mazda is about to launch a new three-door version of its eagerly awaited 2 supermini at the upcoming Geneva motor show. The show to be held in March will witness the launch of this critically acclaimed offering from Mazda. The new body style is aimed at attracting a more dynamic, younger customer base largely in Europe. It will be cheaper than the earlier five-door model launched a year ago. The same engine range is going to be on offer, comprising the 1.3 & 1.5-lt. petrol engines and the 1.4-lt. diesel one.

Despite giving up on a couple of doors, the new Mazda 2 (three-door) will have the same dimensions as the previous five-door version. On-sale dates are yet to be announced, but it is expected that the ‘slightly cheaper’ Mazda 2 will make it to UK showrooms immediately after the Geneva show. The new-look Mazda 2 is expected to be a major hit owing to its bold curves and other attractive features. It is also lighter, and returns a very impressive 47mpg.

Their new 2 model is sure a refreshing return to Mazda’s nimble superminis as we’ve come to know them. It proves that small can indeed be beautiful, cheeky and sporty as well!
