Nissan Qashqai+2 will be on sale from September 18

The new British Built Nissan Qashqai+2 will be on sale from 18th September 2008. It will be priced from £17,199 onwards. The vehicle was designed in London and built in Sunderland. Its important features include seven seat capacity with addition of fold flat third row. It has rear privacy glass, standard panoramic roof and ESP. It is available with 2.0-litre diesel or petrol engine and provided with six-speed manual gears. The buyer is given the choice of front-wheel drive or four-wheel all-mode drive. CVT is standard in the diesel model and as an optional extra for the petrol version. Its wheelbase has been increased by 135 mm and now measures 38 mm taller and 210 mm longer.

The new seven-seater crossover is influenced by the SUV style. The length is increased to provide more space for larger families without affecting the style. The third row seats comfortably carry both children and adults.

The roller-blind tonneau can be placed below the boot floor when the third row seats are occupied. The lid on the under floor storage can double up as a divider to separate fragile and heavy items.
The knee room has been increased for the second row passengers and the split-bracket slide door provides walk-in passage to the third row, enhancing passengers’ convenience.

Despite the addition of more features, Quashqai+2 would cost just £1800 more than the Visia grade model and only £1500 over the price for a Tekna.
