Paris Motor Show exhibits sports cars for a fresh change
The Paris Motor Show usually exhibits electric vehicles, hybrid technology and small cars. So when a few attractive and interesting sports cars were on display, it was a well accepted and lively change.
The Mazda has evolved a great deal since the 1989 Mk1 and the updated version Mazda MX-5 will be out on sale from next year which is coincidently the 20th anniversary of the roadster. The driver has the option of a folding metal top or a traditional soft-top. Also the rev-limiter is raised to 7500 rpm and the suspension has been taken up a notch.
Saab’s 9-X Air will be out for the first time and will have a 1.4 litre turbo engine which will take you from 0 to 62kmph in 8.2 seconds. A fantastic feature the car will have is a roof that slides away instead of folding to decrease weight and increase practicality. This will make the 9-X look extremely sleek.
The Chevrolet Camaro SS was also unveiled at the Paris Motor Show. Like the Vauxhall, the Camaro will sport the 6.2 V8 and will be available in left and right hand versions. The features of the Chevy’s Camaro SS will make it a must- have car as soon as it is released.
