The escalating number of changes brought about by the advanced technology into car design, have compelled the drivers to refer to manufacturers’ handbooks every now and then. A survey of over 2,030 drivers conducted by Peugeot’s ‘Torque Talk’ online panel, reveals that 90% of them used handbooks in order to get acquainted with new technology, while 80% acknowledged that they used owner’s manual to find specific details about various features of their vehicle. Only 7% stated that they would seek information from the dealer, while 8% said they would search it online.
83 % of thousands of respondents expect car manufacturers to continue providing hard copy of handbook due to convenience in referring and do not support transferring it online. Many customers commented that they referred a handbook to refresh the working of seldom used features or to get best out of their cara. Many commented they needed a handbook when in the car, hence did not prefer transferring it online.
