Porsche’s 911 Targa to arrive in autumn with Glass roofs and tailgate
Porsche AG is introducing world’s fastest generation change in the 911 model series. The new models 911 Targa 4, and 911 Targa 4S, will be powered by engines with direct fuel injection system which will enhance performance and economy of the cars. The models will have double clutch gear box and the all wheel drive will be replaced by the rolled Porsche Traction Management (PTM).
The most attractive feature of the 911 Targa is the 1.54 sq.m, two segment glass roofs with sliding arrangement at the front and the practical tailgate. The roof can slide beneath the tailgate within 7 seconds of complete opening, providing open space above the passenger compartment. The sliding roof provided as standard with sunblind, offers more privacy and covers entire area when closed. The glass of roof and tailgate is special quality anti-sun glare which protects occupants from excessive heat, UV radiation and bright sunshine.
The direct fuel injection system, depending on model and its other features, increases engine power up to 8.5 per cent, minimises fuel consumption by 11.2 per cent and brings down CO2 emission by 13.6 per cent.
The double-clutch gearbox is a very good alternative to manual six-speed gearbox. The old Tiptronic S transmission is replaced by PKD which enables shifting of gears at the quickest speed. With this transmission new Targa lends unique driving pleasure to the user.
