Pre-sold Nissan GT-R customers get introduced to super saloon
More than 1,300 owners of the pre-sold Nissan GT-R entered the final stages of Pan European driving programme where instructors from Silverstone International introduced them to the super saloon.
The 19-day programme at Germany’s Nurburgring is being held after more than 500 owners got acquainted with the super saloon for the first time at the home of British Grand Prix in month of August 2008.
The customers were allowed to experience high performance of the Nissan GT-R and learn advanced driving techniques in the initial two stages of the ‘Best in Class’ Nissan Academy, under logistical arm of Silverstone International.
According to Silverstone International’s Sales & Marketing Director, Jonathan Tait, all the participants unanimously acknowledged that Academy was their best ever experience.
Darren Cox, Nissan’s Brand Promotion Manager for Europe told the participants that it was neither their average car not average driving experience, as Nissan had set high target for the customer focussed launch with the help of Silverstone.
Further training including full race license test would be conducted in 2009. A bigger programme, offering driving experience for the owners of Passionate Sports car which would be in the market in 2009, is being jointly planned by Nissan and Silverstone.
Deliveries of GT-R super saloon for Europe would begin in April 2009.
