Reva bags 2008 Frost and Sullivan European Automotive Powertrain Company of the Year Award
The 2008 Frost and Sullivan European Automotive Powertrain Company of the Year Award went to Reva Electric Car Company (RECC) for its excellence in sales volumes, market penetration and customer satisfaction. It is interesting to note how popular Reva is in the UK.
RECC, the pioneer of EV technologies is the world’s best manufacturer of electric cars. It is the first company to commercialise EVs and volume sell EVs with AC motor drives. In 2007, RECC achieved milestones in battery and electric motor technology. It successfully tested lithium ion batteries for the REVA quadricycle. These newly developed batteries provide 140 km driving range, compared to 60-80 km provided by the lead acid battery pack. The Reva car, known as G-Wiz in the UK, offers exceptional value for money.
The Frost and Sullivan Award for Company of the Year is presented to the most enterprising auto firm. The Award criteria include company’s business development, competitive strategy, and leadership within a particular industry.
