SEAT Exeo to make its UK debut in April 2009
SEAT Exeo, a likely class leader in the Spanish upper medium segment is preparing to make its debut in the UK in early 2009. Its full specifications and pricing details are now out for the car enthusiasts looking for five-seat, four-door premium quality saloon equipped with high level standard equipment.
SEAT has announced that its luxurious newcomer, priced at £17,740 RRP onwards, would be on sale in the UK in April 2009. It would be offered with choice of three high performance engines in Sport, SE, S and SE Lux trim levels.
Meeting all Euro V specifications, the engine choice includes hi-tech turbodiesels with 170 PS or 143 PS as well as 200 PS turbocharged petrol. All the engines are equipped with six-speed manual gearbox as standard to make SEAT Exeo a high performance saloon.
The new 143 PS TDI accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 9.2 seconds, 170 PS TDI accelerates in 8.4 seconds while 200 PS TSI petrol-powered version achieves it in just 7.3 seconds attaining maximum speeds of 133, 142 and 149mph respectively.
The Latin newcomers are capable of providing fuel economy of 51.4 mpg on combined cycle and CO2 emission as low as 143 g/km.
Equipments include USB connectivity, cruise control, dual zone climate control, stylish alloy wheels and audio controls on steering wheel. Security and safety are catered with EBA and ESP features.
