SEAT Ibiza Ecomotive records 1,000th registration
Sales of SEAT Ibiza Ecomotive, the greenest model of Spanish car maker SEAT, are soaring in spite of a severe downturn in auto industry. In a span of just one year since its launch, the super-frugal supermini recorded its 1,000th registration and is continuing to capture hearts of many buyers who are looking for a car which will give them maximum fuel economy and minimum emission of CO2.
The lucky milestone motorist who took keys of his 1,000th SEAT Ibiza Ecomotive from Durham dealer is Nigel Morgan, resident of Huby, North Yorkshire.
The storage depot worker, who had previously driven Nissan Micra, revealed that he did much research before deciding to purchase Ecomotive since it was the best choice from financial considerations.
High fuel economy and exemption from payment of any road tax, apart from environmental benefits were main factors in Morgan’s decision of buying Ecomotive.
According to Morgan, the fact that Ecomotive was quite a sporty car yet so economical and green impressed him most. He proudly mentions that he was most delighted and felt great to drive Ecomotive. He claimed saving of £20 a month on fuel.
SEAT Ibiza Ecomotive represents SEAT’s first successful foray into ultra-low emission motoring. It has exceptional fuel economy of 88.3 mpg and CO2 emission of 99g/km which entitles it for exemption from Road Tax. It is equipped with 80 PS turbodiesel engine which provides acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in 12.8 seconds to a top speed of 109mph.
