SEAT to unveil Ibiza Cupra & Emotive at the Paris Motor Show
SEAT will be unveiling its ultra-green Emotive and Cupra models at the forthcoming Paris Motor Show on 2nd October 2008. The two models are additions to the sharp-looking Ibiza-range, built with sophisticated technology. The Cupra is equipped with 180 PS 1.4-litre petrol engine, a supercharger which enhances both fuel efficiency and power delivery. This compact and potent engine uses a seven-speed Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) transmission, with steering wheel shift-paddles in F1 style. The new Cupra has three-door body shape based on the SportCoupe (SC), air intakes surrounding the grille and a new front bumper. Its stylish 17 inch alloy wheels, sports seats and rear diffuser, with trapezoid exhaust pipe, lend attractive look to the car designed by SEAT’s Design Director Luc Donckerwolke.
The other model, next generation Emotive, is very eco-friendly. Its carbon dioxide emission is 99g/km,which is the joint lowest in the UK, for cars with internal combustion engines. This will entitle it for free road fund licence. It is available in SC and 5 door version. Equipped with modified hardware, 80 PS 1.4 TDI engine, it has low fuel consumption, less carbon dioxide emission and enhanced gear ratios.
The prices and specification of both the models will be announced by the middle of next year, closer to their arrival in the UK. Presently all the Ibiza models are being offered with zero per cent finance with 35% deposit over 3 years.
