Single seat grand prix Maserati GranTurismo S arrives in the UK
Three stunning Maserati grand prix single seat cars were showcased at the Bluebird Cafe in Chelsea, London along with the GranTurismo S on its official launch in the UK.
The other classic cars on display included 1936 Maserati 6CM which drove Aldo Marazza to victory at1938 Naples Grand Prix and trend-setting 1948 4CLT grand prix car which was raced by Reg Parnell. The final line up was completed by the 1954 250 F which was initially delivered to Tony Vandervell but later driven by Mike Hawthorn. COYS recently sold these 3 cars for whopping five million dollars.
The Maserati Gran Turismo S was also officially launched alongside these historical Grand Prix cars. Its 440 HP V8 4.7-litre engine, electrical gearbox, sporty exhaust, dual-cast brakes and transaxle layout made it grand ambassador of Maserati sporting range. It accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.9 seconds to attain maximum speed of 183 mph. Its prices start form £89,900 OTR.
The Managing Director of Maserati GB, Andrea Antonnicola addressing at the launch function claimed that Maserati was world’s most iconic marques and the launch was unique occasion showcasing very best of new and old cars.
COYS Managing Director Chris Routledge pointed out that the occasion could be the last to see three famous Maseratis together at one place, and described it as a fantastic moment.
