The new look, improved Skoda Octavia for January 2009 launch
New Octavia, with extensive facelift in interior and exterior, would be launched by Skoda in January 2009. The highly successful model has been updated with brand’s existing range.
A series of significant design changes including sweeping headlights, new foldable door mirrors, complimentary front fog lights and side mouldings and bumpers in body colour, enhance new Octavia’s looks and practicability.
Beyond traditional facelift, it has a range of new stereo system, new upholstery and steering wheels.
New Skoda Octavia comes with alloy wheels and two vibrant colours – Aqua Blue metallic and Arctic Green Metallic.
The existing 1.6 FSI 115bhp engine is being replaced with brand new 1.4 TSI 112bhp engine on Skoda Octavia, while Skoda Octavia vRS would be powered by 2.0 FSI 200bhp engine with DSG transmission. Both the engines are lifting new Octavia’s performance to very high levels.
According to Skoda’s Product Marketing Manager, Warren Richards, new Octavia is fully contemporary car which has fitted perfectly in Skoda’s current range of vehicles. Modernised interior and exterior looks and host of new features would attract attention of modern car buyers.
The new, improved Octavia has an average price increase of £478 for Skoda Octavia Estate and £473 for Octavia Hatch over the previous model.
