The New Renault Megane to be unveiled at Paris Motor Show
One of the most eagerly-awaited new Renault Megane models, successor to Europe’s best-selling cars, is to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October, alongside the New Laguna Coupe. The sporty New Megane will consist of 6 new models by 2010. The 5-door hatch will be launched in the UK in November.
It features high quality design, new technology, excellent driving dynamics, powerful and refined TCe and dCi engines with focus on safety and pollution control.
The new Renault Megane is eye-catching, elegant in style yet robust with accent on fit and finish of panels and other materials used in construction. It is lighter in weight by 8kg, yet bigger and more spacious.
Its performance matches its good looks, with high efficiency, precision and control, which make riding more enjoyable. It is equipped with practical and enhancing features such as digital instruments, and colour-coded cruise speed limiter interface. Hands-free ignition and entry, automatic locking, Bluetooth CD navigation system and 3D audio system are the host of equipment that would be available in the new Megane.
It provides best in-the-class safety with dual-chamber air bags, and double side impact sensors which would minimise the impact of side-on-collision. The new Renault Megane marks the renewal of its C-segment range, which has market share of 33%, the biggest in Western Europe.
Six of its models essentially conceived for the European markets, would be produced in Douai (France) and Palencia (Spain). It would go on sale in the UK in November 2008.
