The New Suzuki Alto now available in the UK
The UK car enthusiast’s wait for the new Suzuki Alto city car is over. The low emission car is now available for test drive and purchases at all the 147 franchise dealers of Suzuki automobile. The all new car from the Japanese manufacturer, which was launched on March 1, 2009, is the 5-door, lowest CO2 emission petrol family car in the market. It is out for sale at a time when many motorists are switching over to more economical vehicles due to tight financial conditions.
The 5-door Alto offers two options, automatic as well as manual transmission, an offer which is normally not often available in the A-segment. It comes with 3-cylinder, 1.0-litre, 67bhp engine returning 64.2 mpg combined fuel consumption and producing lowest possible CO2 emission of 103 g/km. This makes the car qualify for £35 road tax (VED Band B) on annual basis, and puts it in the cheap car insurance group 1E for manual variants.
The stylish Alto which is going to celebrate its 30th anniversary will be offered in 3 different grades of specifications. The prices will start at £6,795 OTR for SZ2 model.
Standard equipment includes front and side airbags, front electric windows, remote central locking and ABS with EBD.
