The Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe To Be Unveiled at Geneva Motor Show
One of the most anticipated displays at the 78th Geneva Motor show to be held in March 2008 will be the newly launched Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe. Based on the 101EX model that was displayed in autumn 2007, this coupe will complete the Phantom family, along with the Phantom, the Phantom Extended Wheelbase and Phantom Drophead Coupe.
Elegantly designed, and impeccably proportioned this car comes with a 453 horsepower, 6.75 liter V-12 engine. This Coupe is the most driver oriented out of all those in the Phantom line, focusing on delivering the ultimate comfort to both the driver and customer.
The coach doors are rear hinged to enable ease of access to the rear lounge seats in addition to providing further structural rigidity. Another well thought out feature is a split trunk lid so as to provide an additional picnic seat tailgate. Aluminum chassis gives torsional rigidity, better handling and safety. An added on feature is the illusion of an open top in the night sky, with an illuminated headliner to simulate a starry starry night.
The pricing is expected to be around $400,000 (the convertible starts at $412,000).
