The third generation Volkswagen Scirocco

Many senior people might remember the original Volkswagen Scirocco and might recall epithets which described its performance.

The Scirocco made its debut 34 years ago at the Geneva Motor Show, where it also marked beginning of Volkswagen’s new design phase. Corrado was introduced in 1989 and thereafter production of Scirocco was gradually reduced and halted 1993 onwards.

Scirocco almost disappeared from the UK streets and it took more than a decade to see its third generation back on the roads. The new Scirocco has all the elements of original Scirocco which provided so much of fun in the past. The company claims that it is the most technically advanced, dynamic coupe ever built by Volkswagen.

The new Scirocco has original blueprint of front engine which drives front wheels, two doors and four seats. The VW roundel has been shifted to the broad bonnet from the front grille of chiselled nose. The Scirocco is bigger in width and length than the Golf GTi, but roof height is 10 cm lower which creates good effect with the shape of windows.

The wide bonnet is fronted at the front by the twin grilles and headlight clusters. The windows of Scirocco flick up towards rear end and the roof slopes at the back. It makes car look longer. The rear end of the car is more attractive.
