The UK’s Masterlease switches to Ford Authorised Repairers

The UK’s leading lease and contract hire company, Masterlease, has decided to appoint Ford Authorised Repairers for the repair and servicing of its Ford vehicles.

The contract-hire company currently has a fleet of 7,700 light commercial vehicles and Ford cars, on which it spends more than £2.5 million annually for service and repair.

With the addition of Masterlease’s fleet, the Ford’s 620-strong network of Authorised Repairers would be handling 5,000 extra vehicles, as reported by Andy Nicholson, fleet aftermarket manager of Ford. He stated that the UK’s largest network had to be competitive in work quality and price, and had to provide single point service and warranty repair.

Ford’s repairers have the advantage of comprehensive tooling and training programmes, as they undergo 3 years training to become Master technicians. Considering the sophistication of its modern vehicles, state-of-the-art diagnostic tools are provided to the Ford’s technicians to diagnose faults quickly and ensure ‘right first time’ repair. This will help to minimise vehicle downtime and inconvenience to valuable customers.

Anthony Dowdall of Masterlease, expressed happiness over the agreement and acknowledged the support Ford had been extending to its dealer network. He was confident of receiving consistent pricing for Masterlease’s repair business and expected that its customers would draw comfort from the service history of Ford.
