UK sales of Hybrid Lexus RX 400h up by 28%

Lexus is the luxury vehicle division of Japan’s Toyota Motor Corporation. It has captured the highest market share in the sale of luxury cars in the US. Lexus brand name vehicles are selling in all parts of the world including the UK.

The UK sales of Hybrid Lexus RX 4ooH are witnessing phenomenal rise while those of other luxury 4×4s and SUVs are facing a big decline. More customers are vying for the Lexus RX 400h, leading to an increase of 28 per cent in July 2008 sales compared with July 2007.

The rival luxury brands failed miserably in their July 2008 performance. There was a whopping decline of 30 per cent in the SUV sales. New registrations for the popular brands were shockingly down by 50 per cent.
Lexus’s extraordinary and trend breaking sales performance was entailed by its highly efficient and technically superior hybrid engine. It has most efficient fuel consumption of 34.7mpg, and its CO2 emission is 192g/kg, which attracts low tax rate. It is an economically affordable smaller family car, hence succeeded in capturing thousands of motorists’ hearts in the UK.

Lexus GB Director, Belinda Poole claims that the RX 400h provides unique SUV style, lower CO2 emission and fuel consumption, making it the first hybrid SUV which alone would survive in a slump market.
