Volvo’s Golden Jubilee in Germany

Volvo Car Germany GmbH, based in Rodenkirchen in Cologne, controls the impressive performance of Volvo Car Corporation, Sweden.  The Swedish premium brand auto manufacturer founded in 1928, started its first subsidiary in 1958 in Frankfurt and registered its trademark with the German Patent Office in the same year.
This year Volvo Car Germany is celebrating its Golden jubilee while Germany holds the position of the third largest market in the world for Volvo Car Corporation.

In Germany, Volvo car has a widespread distribution and services network with 323 sales sites and 63 service centres.  The Swedish auto manufacturer, over the past 50 years has excelled in safety, technical innovation and unique design of its vehicles. Volvo XC60 is the most recent model which reflects its excellence in car manufacture. Besides its reputation for safety, Volvo is also known for its excellent quality and attractive designs.

According to Thomas Viehweg, Managing Director of Volvo Car Germany GmbH, Volvo enjoys outstanding position with importers in Germany and is the only real alternative to German premium car brands. He adds that it has the widest range of cars from the compact category to medium sized cars Volvo S4o and V50, Volvo S60 saloon and the safest estate car in the world, the Volvo V70.

Volvo XC60 crossover model will be the tenth series that Volvo will be introducing in Germany in its history of 50 years. It will also be a milestone for the Swedish premium car manufacturer since Volvo XC60 is the first car in the world to be equipped with City Safety System as standard.
